A typical five-year workmanship warranty covers labor defects and installation errors made by the contractor, such as faulty electrical connections, improper terminations, or subpar installation of custom projects. While the residential construction industry standard is often a one-year period for workmanship, a five-year guarantee extends our liability for the quality of labor for an additional four years.
It is important to distinguish this from other types of coverage:
- Workmanship Warranty: Covers the quality of labor and installation performed by our licensed professionals. This includes protection against both patent defects (visible at completion) and latent defects (hidden problems, such as wiring behind walls, that surface later).
- Manufacturer Warranty: Covers defects in the products themselves, such as a faulty breaker or lighting fixture. This is separate from our workmanship guarantee.
To ensure your warranty remains valid, we recommend avoiding any DIY troubleshooting or unauthorized repairs after our work is complete, as tampering can void your coverage. We provide fixed quotes before work begins and ensure all terms are in writing, so you have clear recourse and protection for your investment. Our work is permit-ready and inspection-verified, providing peace of mind that the installation meets all safety standards from the date of substantial completion.
